Quick and Easy Internet Filter

I'm often asked how to block objectionable content on the web without spending loads of money or getting too complicated. Well it's pretty easy actually. Here's how...

If you only have one PC you want to do this on, you just follow these steps:

1. Right-click on "My Network Places" and select "Properties"

2. Right-click on your network adapter and select "Properties". Select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" from the list and click "Properties".

3. Check the "Use the following DNS server addresses:" radio button and fill in the following IP addresses:

    Preferred DNS server: 67.138.54.100
    Alternate DNS server: 207.225.209.66

These DNS servers are provided by ScrubIT.com. They filter out all the bad stuff.

That's it! Now you can enjoy safe surfing and quit worrying about what your family is seeing on the Internet.

If you have more than one computer, you will probably want to set this up on your router, rather than each computer. I can't give you 1-2-3 instructions on this because different models are setup different ways, but it's usually pretty self-explanatory using the web configuration interface.
